TLC Painting & Renovations and SMILEY are amazing! Even to this day, if we need him to take a look at something that comes up, Smiley is responsive and available to take care of whatever is needed. During the entire process Smiley was top notch working on our townhouse. From the detailed proposal, responsiveness to questions, project completed on time and on budget! It was a breath of fresh air and a complete pleasure to work with this company and team in Tallahassee. Even our neighbors would complement Smiley and his team to us. We will continue to use them for any future jobs we have in Tallahassee. We wish they were closer to us in S. FL because it's not common to find the work quality and professionalism TLC and Smiley have down here. ~ Irene S

TLC Painting completed pressure washing, wood rot repair, and exterior painting on our 1930s Midtown home. Smiley and his team did incredible work -- they went above and beyond each and every step of the way. Smiley's attention to detail and expertise was unlike that of any other contractor I've worked with. He and his team handled every step of the job with precision, confidence, and care. Our 88 year old home looks brand new! Neighbors are stopping to comment!! And I'm resting easy knowing that our home not only has increased curb appeal but also will withstand the elements for another 88 years. I submitted a request on their website and they contacted me and were at my house power washing the deck the very next evening to get it ready for painting and staining. They would have been back the next day if it hadn’t been for the rain. As soon as the rain let up they were back and finished completely in 2 days. Extremely friendly and responsive. Answered all of my questions and concerns over text within minutes (even late in the evening). You won’t have to worry about a thing. These guys have got it down. They did a FANTASTIC job and have truly mastered their craft. I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any of the service that they offer! 10/10 ~ Nic L

We had a great experience with Smiley and Duke (TLC Painting) in painting our laundry/utility room and the entire exterior of our 1930’s home. They took on all of the challenges that come with a 90 year old house, including multiple wood rot repairs, power washing everything including stone walkways and awnings, framing out the thin wooden windows, conditioning old paint, replacing broken shutters, and so much more. I have included before and after photos, as the images speak for themselves. In addition to being thorough Smiley was a pleasure to work with and our kids adore him! TLC Painting & Renovations recently painted a few rooms in our home. We couldn't be happier with how the rooms turned out. Smiley was wonderful to work with from the moment he came to give us an estimate. He was professional, he was detail oriented and remembered everything we told him about the rooms, and sent us a written estimate very quickly (he didn't make us wait). We mentioned we were having guests come into town on a certain date, and Smiley remembered the date. Smiley fit us in on a tight timeline to accommodate our request. Michael (Smiley), owner of TLC Painting, has worked on our house over the past five years. He has painted all the living areas of our house. Recently, he painted the outside and power washed our concrete paths and driveway. Michael and his crew are highly skilled, conscientious, careful and trustworthy. They move all furniture in advance and put it back. Michael oversees a total clean up after painting. His rates are reasonable and fair. He has done several projects for us (replaced wood siding, pressure washed and painted house and porches, built and repaired 8ft wood fence and gate) and has done siding and window replacement for family members, and projects for my neighbors as well. Smiley and his team did an amazing job on my bathroom renovation. He listened carefully to my preferences, paid attention to the details, and even helped me choose the flooring. My bathroom was transformed exactly the way I had envisioned. He also replaced the damaged wooden deck boards in the backyard and stained them. The deck now looks as good as new. We had our whole house exterior painted by TLC and could not have had a better experience! Everything was done with the highest level of attention and care. Smiley is an expert painter. Smiley called back right away for wallpaper removal. He came out within an hour. Quoted a very reasonable price. And started right away. I also got him to do some painting. He was professional, courteous and is a great person! So pleased with his work and work ethic. Have more projects coming up and will be hiring Smiley for all. I'm so impressed with Smiley and Duke. I highly recommend TLC Painting! They were prompt in providing an estimate. My house was built in the 50’s with plaster walls and many coats of paint on the trim-much of it peeling. TLC removed old tub/shower and installed walkin shower kit. They did a beautiful job. Involved cutting up old tub shower to remove, dry wall, plumbing, new baseboards and painting. They also did some small jobs- chain link fence repair, install ceiling fans, two bathroom exhaust fans and door and window trim work.They are perfectionists. ~ rita m
